On BITSR1 I will chuck the baffle in, on my std 5pw I will be grand. My classic passed, so did my mates Ducati and that is earth shatteringly loud

Depending on your weight, a spring change could help. I tried a 5pw linkage on my 4xv a few years ago. It raised the rear and quickened the steering,…login to view the rest of this post

The shock is a Ohlins for a 4XV, a YA 8013, fitted with a K-Tech 57-150-95 spring.
So possibly some mismatch there.

Yes, standard is 88, but this is a bitsa, with an Ohlins for an 04, which is a 95, an Ohlins for an 02-03 comes with a 85 spring.

On balance I think a suspension rebuild is well overdue.
