Re: Dyno results 2020
Inertial dynos don't measure power directly and a formula is used to calculate the hp. This includes various correction factors for atmospheric conditions, and an empirical factor to "correct" the calculated hp to actual. The story goes that Dynojet made this a bit on the high side when they develop...

Re: Anodised Ohlins forks
I don't think there's much you can do once it's damaged except maybe polish the marks as best you can. Something to watch for if I ever get a naked bike. Our roads would make a mess of those forks in no time. I dont think its just a naked bike thing the forks are well shiny so you notice things im ...

Re: MT10 R1 Lanber sensor blanking plug size?
Fast Bikes melted the cat on a Gixxer thou after tuning it. But I can't recall exactly how they managed that dubious achievement.
I only bought the occasional issue of FB so it should be easy to find.
Anyway, I can't see how you could overheat the cat in road use.

Re: Summer Chain lube
The Dupont stuff I use has been discontinued and replaced by chain lube in a yellow can. I understand the new product uses a thicker carrier for the PTFE and moly, and doesn't stay as clean. It's a very dry lube - the chain is not sticky at all and stays clean. But it will wash off in heavy rain and...

Re: Summer Chain lube
I use the Dupont stuff in the blue can. It is a dry lube with PTFE and moly, and does a good job, apart from chain noise! I tried some thick gear oil over the winter, but one ride on damp roads and the chain needed a good clean. The chain was much quieter, which just goes to prove that chain lubes a...
