hi.old newbie returning.
hi everyone,i joined a while back,with a virgin rep 4xv motored r1 but sadly had to sell due too a serious injury of an already knackered spine.
thankfully things are on the up,and having just sold the make do comfy archair that was the 1200 bandit,
im now awaiting my new to me 2002 registered 5jj being delivered by courier in the morning....best xmas EVER!!!!
so excited,i cant wait to be back on the best bike ever,the mighty R1.
i just know ill be getting zero sleep tonight!!
hope your all well and catch up with some of you as i have a read up on what ive missed.
the reprebate jompy still knocking about btw?

cant wait to get the bike tmrw.
theres no other bike like an original carb'd r1 for me personaly.
tried the k1 gsxr1000 for a while,and while its quite a beast,
the quality and finish are miles apart.
just got to remove the stickers from the belly pan and hugger,i want it o.e looking.

exactly pal,couldnt put it better myself.
some would argue theres better bikes but not for me.
does everything i want/need and more.
plus its still the best looking bike made in my eyes,
and so iconic.thought id grab another before they increase in value
lot of fuss around them with the 20th anni of the r1 this year.

mines been used through winter and kept outside,
a shame but a winter project,im quickly bringing her back to former glory.
she deserves it.
nothing a grease up,good clean,change a few bolts and a good service wont solve.
itll be a bargain once completed.
shes already come up a treat after 5 very cold deep cleaning hours and a new set of mirrors.
think previous owner was just too lazy ffs.
not a true biker,just transport to him.
bike originaly sold by dynomite.
she'll be a belter when im done.
good thing about long winters.lol
