Is the Exup moving freely ?
Are you planning on going round all the electrical connectors cleaning and greasing them ?

The exup is working but I will take it out and check properly. Yeah I'm going to go round all the wiring but it looks like someone has used the wurth electrical connector spray on it at some time as there's a bit of blue on the big white connection block. It's good stuff that wurth.

Your probably well aware already but the bolts on the Exup back plate have a tendency to sheer off , personally I'd undo the cables and if the Exup moves freely with you fingers leave it well alone unless the bolts have already been changed or your adamant you want to change the bolts . If you do clezn up your Exup don't use copper slip as it will just go hard and clog it up , I left my Exup dry , Moise found a really good very high temp grease but it's not cheap .

Yes John ive been reading about the seized bolts on the exup valve, i will take your advice and if its not seized i leave well alone. If it is i have a very good hot spanner :D

At the moment im cleaning 19 years worth of chain lube out of the front sprocket cover as it was all just running down the site stand

I use a nickel antiseize. The plating has worn off the valve shaft in places, and it tends to corrode and tighten up if I leave it dry. It's worth replacing the bolts with stainless steel if you do remove them.

This is what I use, mainly because you can buy it in a small tube.

Well tank is back on and rust free after 4 day full of vinegar. Washed out with bicarbonate and lots of water then coated the inside with duck oil. It's now clean as a new one full of fuel. Whilst I was there I fitted a new seal kit in the fuel tap as it was passing a bit when off. Image

Bin them !
I got a pair of wheels with maxxis on and they were sh!t !
I don't have the latest greatest tyres on my bike as I'm no Barry Sheene
Most tyres are great these days but they are confusing , you need to know whether you want sports touring , sports or hyper sports .
Tyres are a very personal choice .
There are many different theories on what tyres to have and a lot of it is fed on the confusion of the branding .
I fit the original Michelin Pilot Powers on mine at around £150 a pair , M&Ps had some great pair deals on recently .

Ohh and the sump bolt torque setting in the manual is wrong , if you use the 43nm you'll eventually crack your sump  it's about half of that and I always use a new crush washer for the sake of £2

Maxxis tyres are fine, about Avon standard. Just check how old they are. Looks like 0313?
