Alright chaps and ladies,
Owned my R1 for nearly 2 years and is my first bike, had such a blast on it the last year really feeling confident and comfortable with it as time goes on.
Slowly been changing/upgrading/renewing parts as and when I can to maintain its capability.
I like to read up on the service and maintenance on things and take most of it up myself unless it's well out of my capability.
Anyways thought it's about time I get on a forum and start giving some feedback and help others if and where I can aswell.
Cheers,
Ben!

Re: New member R1 5pw
Welcome in Ben
To start off I wasn't sure about the arse end on the 5pw but now I love it
I'll stick with my 4xv half-one as I don't think the guys would forgive me for butchering another R1
Lots to read on here and it's basically the same engine as the 4xv / 5jj but with a different head , the engine mount on the head of the 5pw is in a different place on one side and it has different size inlets for the injection .
Hope you enjoy the bike and the forum

Hello Ben what a great little intro and fab to see you're happy to share knowledge and info. As many will say - thats what this forum is all about.
Sprinkled with a little madness now and then of course

Cheers for the warm welcome! I've got to say it's all about the rear ends on the R1s (especially mine) across the board, only exception being the 5eb with those monster front end
Thanks Jompy for the info on engine
