Hi All

Post by Frazzle »

Hi Guys,

Newbie from Bournemouth here, just bought a new R1 in the Suzuka team colours, hopefully picking it up next week and am pretty bloody excited!!!!

I've been riding just over 10 years and only really had sportsbikes, wasted far too much money on them (don't we all) but I can definitely see myself keeping this one years!! My other steed is a 1098R which is sadly a bit of a garage queen (annual trackday aside and the odd sunny day)

I'm not massively mechanically minded so apologies in advance for stupid questions!!

Will get some pics up as soon as I pick it up 8-)

Looking forward to picking your brains and hopefully meeting up for rideouts and trackdays :D

Phil

Welcome in Phil, stupid questions are compulsory on this site ask away there are plenty of knowledgeable people on here and then there’s me and Jompy! He’ll be along soon insisting you tell us about your biking history and post up some pictures. You could always beat him to it we don’t mind if you post up a picture of your garage tractor. We secretly quite like them but will probably take the piss anyway. 👍

Here you go guys, a few pics before I took her out to start running her in... Got a few bits on order through crescent but couldn't wait and had to have her!!! What a machine, I genuinely think its the best bike I've ever had, so easy to ride and the handling is what sold it to me (oh and the sexy paint job!) cheeky pic of the garage tractor too 😁

Good to see the r1 back in fast colours again what you think Clarky?
As for the tractor it’s a pretty thing but That centre stand must affect the handling I can see why you leave it in the garage!

Welcome to the forum Phil, you have a couple of very beautiful bikes there in the fast as fook red colour, not tortoise blue ... lol

I’m not mechanically minded one bit... neither is Jompy intelligent.... his idea to improve your bikes would be to remove the fairings.... but then I guess it takes all sorts .....

Welcome to the forum, join in the banter and remember ... the only stupid question is a question that is not asked

Welcome

Stephen
