Noob 4XV white/red : red/white Colour Question

Post by R1Noob »

Hello there,

Thanks to the creator of this great resource :) I hope spend many ours on here

I am about to buy a 1998 R1, a white and red one.

I see that the front mudguard and tail unit of the red/white 1999 model looks the same as that of the 1998 white/red model and I would like to know if the respective whites and reds are identical colour matches.

Thanks for any tips

David

Welcome in David
not sure about the colour match , i'm sure someone put the colour codes up years ago but no clue where . If you have a good yamaha dealer they will be able to look up the colour codes for you .
Glad you like the forum and hope to be seeing your posts soon

Thanks Polar et al.

Sorry to be a pain but can you confirm if you know for sure if the colours are the same or if you simply believe they are. I couldn't really get that from your reply.

I want to purchase parts for one model and put them on another, so could be important before forking out :)

Many Thanks

Have you checked the part numbers online? If they are the same, then you're good to go.

I know the blue is the same for both years, but don't know about the red.

I just suspect they are as why change the colour between 98 and 99 but do check with your dealer
