Welcome Dan that’s one hell,of a first bike! You’ll find the corners seem to arrive a little earlier than on a learner bike!

Welcome to the forum Dan, an R1 is a hell of a first bike, take your time, get to know her and be gentle with the throttle, she will only go as fast as your right wrist dictates....

One of my neighbours bought an R1 years back, his riding style was he had to have the throttle pinned .... he didn’t keep the R1 for long, I tried to tell him to be gentle but he just said there is too much power.... no kidding with a pinned throttle ..... he just couldn’t change....

Anyway enjoy your new toy, any questions just ask ... someone will have the answer.....

Welcome

Stephen
