Kent newbie

Post by Stu14b »

Morning all. Had my 14b for a while now and love pretty much everything about it. It was built as a one off so has a few non standard parts. Just waiting to be off work at the same time as the good weather so I get out on her. It's been a bit hit and miss in my neck of the woods. Stay safe all

Stu

Thanks Clarky.
Yes, Ohlins front and rear plus a few other goodies. All created for the NEC. The bike is named Project 14b.

I take it you don't get out on yours as often as you'd like buddy. :D
What with work, the Family, weather etc, I don't get out as often as I'd like. The bikes an expensive ornament most of the time.

Looks lovely that, love the forks :) the perfectionist in me would have to get the calipers vapour blasted and clear anodised so they matched though.

Your right mate i don't
the Job i've had for the last 15 years i have to use a company van so no commuting , before the wife moved it was 140 miles to hers but now i don't do that , the wife is a biker too in fact she's had her licence 15 years longer than i've had mine and she's had more bikes 😂 but due to ill health and resulting mental heath problems ( sure she was mental before hand , in fact i know she was  ) she's not wanted to go out on her bike and i don't like leaving her behind , the fact that she's a biker was a big reason we got together . Oh and we also got a dog 2 years ago and we don't like leaving the bugger on his own for long
The wifes mental state and health is better and she's feeling more like going out so we'll see
It's sometimes hard finding the motivation at times and as you say being at work all week it seems unfair on the family just to bugger off out for the weekend .
We have a small get together around june time which is nice

Jompy I know you’ve not been riding for all the right reasons as I did when the kids came along but it would do you good mentally to go for a short spin every know and then, and I’m sure you coming back refreshed and full of smiles would rub off on Jen.

Welcome in Stu and love the bike.
Hope you enjoy the forum and the wittering that ensues!

Jompy you need to be happy to be supportive.
Use the "I must keep it full of fuel" excuse. I do, only I use the garage the other side of Loomies so by the time I'm back it's half empty again.

I know what you mean you feel guilty. I do every time I go out now and I’ve not got a Jen. But it might help her you can guarantee she feels guilty about you not riding cos she’s a biker and understands the need.
