Heya Guys,
This’ll be my first bike & I chose the R6, I’ve heard so many great things about them so it automatically made my mind up,
I headed up to Jordan Bikes yesterday & put a deposit down on this absolute stunner of a bike

I’m really happy with the overall look & feel of the bike, Jordan Bikes are going to powder coat the wheels white for me, so they’ll be looking nice & fresh, I can’t wait to take delivery for it!

Thanks for reading :)
Kyle

Welcome to the forum - really nice r6 that

I do like the R6 it has to be the best 600 out there - race results on track and road has to say something.

They can be flighty little buggers on the front end but that is one of the reasons why i like them, the other is how you can just keep thrashing them and they never have a problem.

Enjoy

Welcome to the forum Kyle, cracking opening post with pic too ImageImageImageImage

You won’t be disappointed with your R6, I had one of those for 5 and a half years. Beautiful to ride, light, flickable and really good in the corners.

As she is your first bike, take your time to get to know her, experience and skill is built up over time with miles in the saddle. Learn the bike and hone your skills, you will learn something new every day... that’s what I love about biking... every ride is a learning experience... even when you are as old as me... lol

Any questions relating to your bike, kit, riding etc just ask... indeed any questions... just ask... someone will have the answer.... well apart from this Saturday’s winning lottery number.... the forum is good... but not that good...

Saying that if Carlesburg did forums... this would be it

Seriously, we are more a community / family on here, we look after each other, which is what makes this place great

Enjoy your new bike, she is amazing, hope you didn’t think I was trying to teach you to suck eggs... it’s just that I remember when I got my first bike.... yes Julian... I can just about remember that far back... lol

Oh and remember, the only stupid question is a question that’s not asked

Thanks guys, I will definitely keep you guys updated - Hopefully it'll be ready & delivered for next weekend, I honestly can't wait.

I've just bought a oxford chain & Anchor so at least I know she'll be safe tucked away in the garage!

Still remember the very ride on the first R6 I had. It was tee 1999 model (V470KAS) Tried to look it up and see if I could track it down but no luck... probably cost me more now than I sold it for

Anyway I stepped off my very first road bike (GPZ500s) and got on this from Willie Young’s in Elgin, and it was mega, had it over to the TT in 2004 and loved every minute of it. Since then I had a couple of them on road and track. So much fun and never had any major issues.

In fact I was tempted with a brand new one before toying with BMW S1K and the R1M I have now.

Enjoy it fella and I am sure you will not regret it

I am looking to get either an older R6 or R1 as a project in the winter time .

She's finally home! I finally went to collect her, I couldn't wait any longer for delivery so I emptied the work van & made my way North to Leeds - I was so nervous on the way home but she was strapped in well.
I insured & taxed her as soon as I got home, Straight upstairs to get my gear on & straight out on the bike - What can I say, What an amazing experience! I absolutely love it! :D

Welcome to the Printrbot forums. If you ever need any help or have any questions Im always available to help a fellow builder. Since this will be your first printer I would recommend checking out the Reprap forums as well as reading as many blogs as you can. A lot of people on here have some really neat projects going on. Good luck with your first build and we are glad to have you as a new owner.

A year on & 5000 miles later, the bike has been sold & I'm in the market for a R1M :D
The R6 has been absolutely amazing to me & I thoroughly enjoyed every mile I did on it!

I can't wait to get on a bike again!
