Welcome to the forum Peter, the R6’s are an amazing track bike, so flickable.

What tracks have you ridden?

This was my R6, sadly I don’t have her anymore

Hi Piotr that’s a nice selection of tracks you have under your belt. Oulton is my favourite, I have a vid of it but for some reason I can’t load it... will try

In the mean time here is a plan of the circuit

Ok, vid worked

Oulton Park is not only my local track, I live 18 miles away, it is also my favourite track. It's technical, has elevation changes and some fantastic corners

This is me back in 2014, my lap times are not great it's the first and only full session I got that day. Also I was in the novice group as that's the only group they had spaces left in when I arrived in the afternoon, still it will give you a flavour of the track.

At 6:45 in, you will see me approach Drewids, it's a double apex bend, you will see that I miss the first apex but get the second one, I always do this. The guy in front hits the first apex and second apex, but has to run wide, actually onto a bumpy part of the track caused by car racing, so can't get on the gas, I'm able to come up the inside of him Andy fire the bike down the straight...

Ok.. going down the start finish straight, the first corner is Old Hall, there isn’t much run off here and you want to be on the left hand side of the track before tipping in and clipping the apex. Actually from the pits you join the track just after this corner, so you won’t see it till you start your second lap

From old hall you go up the avenue, a blind crest here you want to be on the RHS of the track slight link to the right then sweeping downhill left handed if cascades, this is an awesome corner

Nice straight along lakeside, yep there is a lake there but I doubt you will see it, good overtaking opportunity here

Then sweeping and very fast left hander , known as island bend. you need to pick the bike up quickly and scrub off quite a bit of speed for the shell oils hairpin (also known as the magic roundabout) because of its major positive camber,

Coming out of shell oils is a quick sprint with slight right hand kink taking you to
Foulstons chicane,

You then climb up hill top, again nice overtaking point, blind crest and sharp downhill hard on the brakes to knickerbrook or Hisses chicane (after the late, great, Stephen Hislop) this is actually quite a large chicane with sharp turn in and opening up on exit

You then go up clay hill again overtaking opportunities but note the left kink followed by short bit of straight before you arrive at the double apex druids dormer ...see start of this post

Out of Druids is a lovely straight , you go under the bridge and arrive at lodge corner, take this tight as there is a off camber section if you run wide.

Power out of lodge and go down and then up deer leap, this is followed by the pit entrance and start finish straight...

Will try and pic out some corner pics

Seriously boss .. I got it working in the forum proper ... but it didn’t show up on Tapatalk so I deleted it and tried it on Tapatalk and it worked... so I thought... all ok .

Where is the YouTube button on tapatalk ? I know it’s on the forum proper ....

Now, you my clever monkey, managed to get it working on both whilst I couldn’t ... so I’m still as confused as if you put three shovels against a wall and asked me to take my pick Image

It might be my age... perhaps I should ask the grandchildren Image

Thank you for the advice.

I have a question:
I bought heating blankets for tires and I can not fit one on the front tire as the previous owner put tire 70 instead of 60.
Is there a any good reason why? Better turn?

I will probably have to dismantle the fender.
