Bare with the forum at the moment it tends to be quieter in the winter months

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum, what a beautiful 5pw you have, as we all know, the red ones are super fast, if you had a blue one... well you would have been disappointed.... Clarky thinks blue ones are fast.... bless him... but everything is relative.... his hobby is racing electric milk floats... so even a blue R1 feels as fast as fook to that...mind you... before racing milk floats... he raced electric lawn mowers.... problem... he couldn’t find a long enough power lead (Paul... you know I’m only joking mate... you Jag is faster than fook , pitty about the R1)
Ok.. being serious now... your bike has, IMHO the best rear end of any bike, the rear light reminds me of the Cylons in battle star galactica .... do do streamline and yet do stunning
Welcome to the forum and join in with the banter, have a laugh.... we all do and enjoy your new R1
Stephen
Paul... apologies mate... my Jag is blue and therefore slow ... but the red callipers do speed her up.....and the M has blue wheels to slow her down

Thankyou for your comments regarding my 5PW.
I am modifying it when money and time allow.
I have already upgraded some parts on it, these include
Ohlins top yoke mounted steering damper
Harris Carbon Frame Covers
Harris Rearsets in gold
Harris quick release fuel cap in black
Gillies GP paddock stand lifters in titanium
Short brake & clutch levers in black with red adjusters
Hel braided brake hoses in black
Dark tint screen
Yamaha Factory Seat Cowl
Taillight with ntegrated indicators (road legal)
Dynomite tail tidy
Front indicators replacing the original side lights
Akrapovic Carbon Can and Titanium link pipe
R & G Crash Bobbins throughout
Other mods planned include
2006 5VY Front Forks
2006 5VY Radial Calipers
Galfer 5VY 320mm wavy discs
Galfer 5VY 220mm wavy rear disc
5VY Wheels f/r powered coated gold
Braced 5PW Swing Arm
Titanium and Stainless fasteners
I would also like to get hold of a rear road/race tail unit that allows the original riders seat to be used.[/url]

Wow, that’s an impressive list Mark, wen you said “I’ve upgraded some parts” I just thought you meant two or three mods... not such a long list... nice one the paddock stand lifters, I find, are much easier to use than bobbins
Also liking your thoughts about the 5vy forks and wheel, must admit I love the wavy discs
Oh and is it possible to see your new rear light with the integrated indicators and what you have done with the indicators on the front.... thanks

Steve
At the moment my bikes are at one of my mates because I'm looking for a new home so I'm staying at my sisters and brother in laws for the time being.
I will try and get my mate to send me some pictures and videos of the indicators while in operation but to be honest it might be a little while till he does send me them, so please bear with me on that
