New here

Post by Jonny4891 »

New guy here .. been browsing and researching here for a bit. Had a bit of a hankering for an R1 for many years now and well after some creative man maths I’ve purchased a 2019 R1 which I’m waiting to have delivered!

That’s as good as it gets til it turns up at which point I’m sure it will be raining for the foreseeable!!

Cheers

John

Hi John and welcome to the forum. You will soon notice that this is not an average forum and nothing like a Facebook group. The members on here a a reality great bunch, ive made some good friends here.

I think if you love bikes sooner or later you will go knocking on the door of the R1 nothing quite like the ride and wail of a crosplain engine.

Tell us a bit more about yourself and your biking history, pics of your old bikers if you have them?

Goog look with you new bike mate.

Welcome in John
As polar says get a bit about yourself up and then join in 👍
The 2CR and B3L sections seem to be alive and kicking although they don't tend to mix with us lower life forms 😂 but please don't be a stranger 👌

Started biking when I was 18.. mainly because I crashed my car and couldn’t afford insurance.

After that the bug bit hard and I always had a bike and did everything I could on a bike!

Regular euro holidays with a few weeks touring and trips to the Nurburgring.

Done a few track days on various bikes, the current 675 is a race bike and was intending on racing this year. Unfortunately corona has put a stop to that.

Main reason I decided to go for the R1 now was to have something to get out on rather than no riding all year whilst the tracks are shut.

Obviously the hunt for mods for the R1 has started already.

To quote my missus “it’s brand new so you won’t have to change a anything”

I haven’t had the heart to tell her that’s not how it works.

Welcome to the forum John, and as Polar aka Mark, says, we are more of a community in here.

Great choice of R1 you have made, these bikes are so beautiful to ride, I’m on my 6th R1 and my 2016 R1 is by far the best bike I’ve ever owned.

Welcome , join in the banter and laugh along with us.. mostly at Jompy ... you will understand when you get to know him... he is always monkeying around...

Oh and all the blue guys will absolutely love your bike... there is a bit of a blue / red faction on here

Welcome

Stephen
