New member in Manchester

Post by PauloR1 »

Hi all, new to the forum having just picked up my first R1. Got myself a nice original 2001 5JJ with 19k on the clock. Been riding around 20 years. Had 10 bikes in that time and currently own a 2018 fireblade SP and I'm also a member on the 1000rr forum.

Loads I need to learn about these bikes, seem fairly easy to work on. I've just been adding a few bits like you do and bringing it up to my standard ;)

I've got an new Arrow oval titanium can for it but the link pipe they sent just won't line up with the hanger so I'm in the process of sorting that out. I may end up returning it yet so if anyone knows of any similar exhaust knocking about?? :?

Welcome in Paul
Sweet 5jj ๐Ÿ‘
I've got a Mivv on my 4xv and i really like it although it is a tad on the long side , they've gone up price now .
Had a Leo Vince before that which was shorter and nice but it was battered but the wife bought me the Mivv
Enjoy the 5jj and the forum mate .

Welcome to the forum Paul, stunning R1 you have

As Andy says loads of very knowledgeable people on here, plus one chimp (aka Jompy), what these guys donโ€™t know isnโ€™t worth knowing, so just fire away with any questions.

Welcome

Stephen

Oh and join in the banter and laugh along with us... usually at Jompys expense

Thanks for the welcome all ;) taking me a bit to navigate my way around a new forum having being used to the 1000rr fireblade forum for the last few years.

God I love this bike though, its been getting so much attention lately though, the blade must be getting jealous! :o

Just something about these yams though, maybe it's a generational thing, I remember seeing one before I had my licence and thinking.... I'll have one of them one day. 10 bikes and 20 years later.... I've got one. :)
