Lambda / 02 sensor plugs

Post by polar » Fri Feb 21, 2020 4:43 pm

Hi all just a quick ask does anybody know where i can get the type of plug used on the Lambda sensor / 02 sensor wiring that plug into the connectors on the wiring loom.

Im having My ecu flashed and it does away with the sensors - ive found the blanking plugs for the cat but need to find a plug just to protect the loom connectors, im not after eliminator plugs just the blank plug itself.

Thanks in advance

I unplugged and removed the O2 sensors then wrapped the two connectors plugs with plenty of quality electrical tape so no damp can get to them.

You could plug them with silicone too. It stays pretty dry under the tank anyway, and all looks ok when I have the tank up now and then.

There are kits for it but I use my R1M in the dry, and use my 4C8 in the wet. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-YZF-R ... SwEOpZ97Cy

Is it a Sumitomo plug?
I’ve used these for other jobs on the bike.

This kind of thing

Hi John thanks for the reply.

No mate its a 4 pin I'll take a pic when I discount them. But like you said it's not going to hurt to tape them up. It's just my perfectionist side talking to me

Hi John this is the type of plugs I'm looking for but I just want the plugs and not the lambada eliminators that are on eBay they are the same plugs but someone has wired a resister to fool the ecu. I don't need to fool the ecu because the lambders are being mapped out. ImageImageImage

Very good try John but no cigar the clip is on the female and its inside the connector. You slide a screw driver inside the female part and that releses the little tit on the male.

Thanks for looking through mate I really appreciate it🖒

Yes you’re right, the pin pattern is the same and there’s a removable piece in the other half which would allow the larger plug to fit
But... The internal keying is different!
