Returning R1 owner........sourced a 5JJ as a classic superbike winter project. Ride a last build 675 Daytona as a daily but fancied finding an R1 in as built condition as much as possible as a sunny Sunday whip. OE exhaust on the list and an Akra or similar in time.
This is a 2000 W plate. Stood for 8 years but has had carb rebuild last year. Was running OK last month but now down to three cylinders and stinks of fuel. First job is to have a dig tomorrow and a browse around the forum!
Anyway........good to be aboard.
Cheers. Guy

Re: Bonjour
Bike looks very original. The standard exhaust is just too quiet, I have a Scorpion can on my 4xv which I think is just about right.
Sounds like it might be a sticking needle valve.

Welcome in Guy
Great bikes the 5jj's , like all the early R1's they suffer from a few minor problems and the odd serious problems . Hope you get it sorted
