Re: Old and New.......
Think we did that stuff last year Coullio, scrappy and his dad will know better.
Trip from sky to Applecross, didn't see much over the top, bloody mist. Lots of that trip are still a blur . Even the single track stuff can be rapid, I urge you all to get the f**k up there and play

Re: Old and New.......
We did a run from Aberdeen to Applecross then Fort Augustus overnighter at Morags Lodge (Google it great place to stay). We met about a dozen bikers from England who came up just to do Isle of Skye & Applecross, one guy was from Southampton. The next morning we headed to Isle of Skye but had to turn back due to mental rain. Scotland has some epic roads.PJC wrote:Think we did that stuff last year Coullio, scrappy and his dad will know better.

Re: Old and New.......
Looks a good place does Morags lodge m8, we left Fort Augustus in the rain, aqua plained all the way to the Green wellie and on to Glasgow, cant beat the sound of 3 x 1000 cc bikes spinning on the rev limiter over those roads
Soon as the bike is rebuilt I will be blasting about the boarders, switching between Northumberland and Scotland, I got the best of both worlds, Twisty country stuff and open sweepers, but it still aint a patch on the Highlands.
Plan to do a good few overnighters this year, I am only 100 miles south of edinburgh

Re: Old and New.......
Morags is very good. It has a wee bar selling draught & bottled beer. The rooms are very tidy, spacious and clean. We landed up in the William Wallace Suite 6 beds with en-suite (only 3 of us). I would say go into the village for food and try the "Lock Inn" the food is superb and very reasonably priced, also the beer is good. Just down from the Lodge you will find the petrol station. If you plan on leaving early and its a Sunday fuel up on the Saturday. How about getting a overnighter organised to Morags??PJC wrote:Looks a good place does Morags lodge m8, we left Fort Augustus in the rain, aqua plained all the way to the Green wellie and on to Glasgow, cant beat the sound of 3 x 1000 cc bikes spinning on the rev limiter over those roads
