Newbie, sort of . .
Hi all,
Was a member of what seemed to be a thriving UK based Yamaha forum which then dissapeared off the face of the earth, not sure if this is the new incarnation of not?
Anyway - I'm back! Still got the 98 4XV, Akrapovic, Hel Braided Lines (Black Sleeves) and Samco hoses, but other than that all original. I take it on track occasionally but most of the time its spent hooked up to an optimate under a Yamaha dust cover in my heated garage
Anyway, here's a pic from Snetterton

Like this . . .
Got rid of the SMT, replaced the fence and cut down the weeds, my front garden was beginning to look like the Dingles

Re: Newbie, sort of . .
Thanks all - The 'SMT' is the KTM SMT lurking in the background on the second picture, basically a 'touring' version of the barking mad KTM 990 Supermoto, by that the only difference being a bigger tank, more plush seat and a front bikini fairing - I picked it up on an 09 plate with 5000 miles on the clock, twin carbon akras - VERY loudPJC wrote:Welcome back Ben, we tried to keep you in the dark but you found us anyway nice bike m8, enjoy the site and please explain SMT (Is it a Honda thingy)
Started having problems with the fuel injection and I sort of lost faith in it - plus running two bikes proved too expensive and the R1 wasn't going anywhere, had it for seven years now.
I'd recommend the KTM however, thought it would calm me down a bit but actually made my riding more agressive
