Fresh meat ;)
Hello,
Thursday night i bought a 2009 R1 with 3500 miles off a good mate of mine.
It's got a full akra titanium system, K&N filter and a few little bits. The usual stuff.
I will be converting it immediately into a track / race bike. It'll be doing multiple trackdays, a few hill climbs and local race events.
I also own a KTM RC8 which i've had since they first came out 10 years ago. I've lost count of how many trackdays i've done with it.
I am at Le Mans for two days in September so am on a time frame to get the bike ready.
I have ordered a full set of track fairing, super corsa pros, service bits, titanium sump plug so it can be wired and a few other bits. I'll also fit a quick shifter.
I'll post a couple of pictures through tapatalk from my phone as it's much quicker.
Look forward to reading everything on here

Welcome to the forum.
If you're talking quickshifters, it may be worth getting it flashed and enabling the QS. Then you can fit a QS which just has two wires direct to the ecu...easy
Depending on how far you want to go, you can even get the complete Flastune harness so you can plug in your laptop and fiddle with the ecu yourself...nice bit of kit.
Pete.

Hi Tom
Brilliant track bike for me, I know this bike, the previous and new owners, see you in Le Mans.
Have fun building it to track spec.

Having the FTE system is the way to go. R1Mike from Velox can probably get you setup for a fair price.

Hit up R1Mike, he's the FTE (FlashTune ECU) dealer for U.K. Sweet talk him and he may give you a forum discount. Just don't ask him to put your rear wheel/brake on your bike.2fst4u wrote:petepassion wrote:Welcome to the forum.
