Hi All,

Well ive finally done it, ive been talking about this day for ages and finally found enough money to make my first R1 purchase. Ive recently had only Gixxers but Ive always dreamt about owning one of these.
Ive bought myself a 2000 5JJ model with slightly high mileage but still sounds and looks amazing.
Hope to join in with plenty of banter and fun on this site and hopefully help me get it setup so I don't trash it.

Im hoping to get plenty of info from here as I don't want to end up a statistic, I need this bike setup the best I can and get as much confidence as I can,
Do you guys do ride outs?

Welcome in Simon, the 5jj is a cracking bike, as are all models off R1, YOULL HAVE WHEELIE GOOD FUN ON THAT MODEL THOUGH!!!
