Newbie. Having electrical problem

hi, I'm new to this group.
I have a 2000 r6
It's been garaged for 10years, due to wife/kids etc.
Been allowed to get it back on the road, battery dead, engine turns by hand, changed fluids etc, connected new battery. I have ignition lights, dash display, lights etc but the alarm (datatool system 3 I believe) doesn't sound or turn on or off when battery is first connected. Fuel tank removed and spark plugs disconnected to try and spin the engine by starter only as I don't want it to run just yet. But nothing happens when I hit the starter button
Has anyone got any ideas
Many thanks

Thanks r1clarky
I downloaded that, doesn't seem a lot of use though. When I changed/disconnected the battery in the past the alarm would bleep or make a noise but now not a peep from it as if no power to it.

My wife worked in the bike trade for years and told me if a bike was traded in and it had an alarm over 4 or 5 years old that they'd take it off as they were far too much trouble

I reckon the backup battery in the alarm has died and the bike is immobilised

I reckon you need to remove it, not too hard to do.

Remove it as the other lads have said then stamp on it, drive over it and throw it as far as you can

I had my Datatool removed from my 4XV, more trouble than it's worth. :angry-screaming: Get it removed and then repeat polar's excellent advice.

Oh, and I meant to add, Datatool went out of business about ten years ago.
