Apsaegis why not progressively wound springs, I thought that they are supposed to be better than linear.

Thanks for all the responses guys but unfortunately some thieving b*stard had it away with the R1 overnight, due to have an alarm/immobiliser fitted on Friday should have been last Thursday but they cancelled that saying that they hadn't received the alarm yet.
