Yes you will only be doing 55 ish. And your milage will over read by 10% on what you pit on it now

pads are easy to change and not expensive (sbs are my fave) while your at it give the calipers a good clean with soapy water and a can of brake clean…login to view the rest of this post

It all depends on how much you want the R1 ! I payed slightly over the odds for my R1 but then it was love at first sight . All the R1's seem to be very reliable unless abused but yours sounds low millage so it would be ok . When abused 2nd gear can be an issue with it jumping out ...

Dare I admit it but I used to be a Honda man through and through, yep that's my credibility gone.... But I did see the light and changed over to R1's 10 years ago, never looked back, their build quality and reliability will rival anything honda can produce and the Yamaha's have a soul .....
