quick update.
I got my bits back from Revs racing in Halesowen and fitted them to the bike.

The vast majority of us on here can't ride an R1 to its potential, so yiu are not on your own buddy, infact ive got slower as I've got older . Enjoy your R1 and the forum

I once got nicked on a dual carriageway connecting the north car parks to Schiphol airport doing just over twice the posted limit.
my fault, assumed the limit was 120, turned out to be 70kph due to the possibility of airport vehicles using it.

I used to live round the corner in Sneek.
if I can give a piece of advice to anyone going and intending to ride the aafsluitdijk (the big motorway in the sea that connects the north of holland to the friesland region) is to keep your speed down.

I have bvought my first r1 last month. Its a 99 4vx, white and blue in good used condition with 19k and some good service history
