Re: Profile name change

It's a good question Steve, and I don't really have a good answer for you!

I've PM'd Bub but no reply yet, found a user called 'jon' but they have no posts at all, so can't be the right one...?

Morning guys. I've had my 1998 4XV for 5-6 weeks now. And I've been noticing a vibration that's a bit odd. Basically, it occurs between 4-5k. It's onl…login to view the rest of this post

Price reduced again for a quick sale. I only have one chance to buy my old girl back so I really need to not f**k about! It will be in the for sale section now!

Re: Newbie saying hi

Cheers. And yeah, I reckon the right buyer looking for the right thing will come along, I could price it cheaper for a quicker sale, but I'm not in a rush. Makes for a nice bit of furniture as well as a toy (she stays in the house!).

Re: Newbie saying hi

Yep that's fair. I thought I'd start higher as people always like to haggle, and I am open to offers. I won't say on here how much I paid for her, but it wasn't far off 4k, and I've put a lot of hours and a fair amount of money into getting her ready to ride. I bought her with no MOT, 7 year old ...

Re: Newbie saying hi

Thanks again, lots of views and a few watchers but nobody taking a bite yet! I guess these things can take time, classic status bikes are a niche market, there's not always somebody looking for one. My RSV sold the very same day it went up for sale!

Re: Newbie saying hi

Thanks guys... It really is a belter of a bike, I just don't have the balls (or maybe I have too much sense!) to do what I do on the track, on the road, as a result it's a bit unsatisfying. She's on ebay now, if I get enough posts on here I'll put her on the for sale section too.

I use EBC sintered, but my MC is standard... Brakes are OK, big step down from my old radial Brembo's (different bike), but they do the job

Re: Newbie saying hi

Well, the time to sell came sooner than I thought... The bike is awesome, but I can't get used to road riding, after being on the track for several years. It's just not for me. I need a few more posts before I can do anything in the for sale section!

Re: Newbie saying hi

Nope! And yes, I have Harris bobbins on. Bike is currently standard apart from the slip on, bobbins, crash bungs and shift rod. Even the oil and air filer are genuine Yamaha. I also removed the aftermarket disc bolts and replaced with genuine items. I'll possibly fit a damper, but nothing else. And ...
