I was frustrated and then relieved to get my wheel bearing out that I missed these posts.

After a bit of heat, the bearing came out surprisingly easy.

I did find a socket (1 1/8”) which fits.

Yes there was some play and noise from at least one of the bearings. Wishing I hadn’t touched the needle bearing now though.

Hi everyone

I recently picked up a 1998 4XV red and white R1 to re-live my old R1 days.
This is my 3rd R1 over the years, having previously owned a new 2000 5JJ and used 2003 5PW.
