Northern Ireland, yes planned to keep it but to much on my plate at the minute just can’t around to working at it, then moving to new house and all that entails, so as you say just clear the decks.

This lockdown has messed my plans to have the carbs ultrasonically cleaned, so I got some carb cleaner and used that to prove the situation, it’s now revving somewhat but still not there yet I’m now behind the 8 ball regarding time etc and I think the best thing to do is sell the bike, I have enough ...

I’ve found someone locally that does ultrasonic cleaning so hopefully over the next week or so I will get them up to them and get the job done, the company is only working one day a week at the moment so it won’t be done in a hurry, looking forward to hearing it Rev properly again, HARRIS shotgun ...

Just one other thing, the last time I had this bike mot’d they nearly didn’t pass it because I couldn’t convert the speedo to kph, how is this done?

I did, have tried lots of different things from Aprilla rsv4, 2007 R1 which I just couldn’t get used to, but always come back to old faithful!! Hard to beat.

Thanks, that’s exactly what is happening I thought it was something to do with the carbs but didn’t want to strip them down without asking someone for advice, as I said I’ve had this bike from new while it’s been of the road for years I’ve had several other bikes sold all the rest but still held ...

Thanks for your reply, I haven’t cleaned the carbs, what I have noticed is the carb slides seem to be sticking they are also not moving even when the throttle is twisted? I can’t think that’s right?

I’ve owned this R 1 from new, it’s been of the road for some years now and I have started to get it running again, the bike will start with choke but won’t Rev at all, I’ve replaced the TPS sensor, plugs etc still no joy, anyone any ideas?
