looking at buying an early r1

looking at buying an early r1
just been to look at an r1 it's the early red and white colours, but the bikes a t reg with 4xv7 under the seat and the frame no ending in 21152. Could it still be the right colour or should it be the one with a red tank any ideas.thanks

It should have the date of manufacture on the frame plate. Mine says 3/99 and is the original blue and white paint scheme.

Look on the reg doc or do a vehicle check one of those should highlite a colour change
Failing that try a quick call to Mr Yamaha UK
