Re: hello
It was downhill and not too many revs when I opened the throttle. I have lifted the front powering out of uphill corners in 2nd though.jompy wrote:the front must have lifted a fair bit then lolMoise wrote:I might have done it then. Gave it full throttle in 2nd overtaking someone from about 40 mph. Got past OK then things happened very quickly!
No idea of revs or speed, had to look where I was about to be as it felt like time and space were being compressed.
Now my other bike isn't exactly slow but this was something else!

Re: hello
Gave it full throttle in 2nd coming out of a slow corner onto a straight, say 30 mph. Didn't lift the front but got to 90 mph (9,000 rpm) very quickly.Moise wrote:It was downhill and not too many revs when I opened the throttle. Now my other bike isn't exactly slow but this was something else!Mind you, the ZZR1200 can do that too, and it weighs about 100 kg more! Does make a mess of the rear tyre though if you do it too often.

I've never ridden anything with midrange like the 4xv. I'm getting used to it though, had time to look at the clocks this time!
Sorry for the thread hijack Graham, have you been for a ride on your R1 yet?

Welcome in Graham, 50 is no where near too old to be riding an R1 so well done mate![]()
Old monkey face is Amosa right in that our average age is Colin's aks colon or Locke, not Lockie at 41 but their ain't much difference. 40's are the new early 20's, and 50's is the new mid 20's, which means we have a load of members still well, let's say they ain't grown up yet![]()
