Hello all, greetings from Transylvania!

Hi everyone, nice meeting you! This is to briefly introduce myself to the community. My name is Eli and I am located in Romania / Transylvania region. Just about completing the acquisition of my new bike which is a Yamaha R1 (RN12 5VY) manufactured 2006 - imported from USA / Limited Edition. My previous bikes were a Yamaha FZ6 naked S1 and a Ducati ST2. Promise to come back with pictures as soon as winter fades away (now it's -15 Celsius ).

Welcome to the forum Eli , I remember minus 13 over here a few years back and that was bloody cold, so I don't envy you over there, however summer will be here soon and the mountains will be reverberating to the sound of yiur R1. The 5vy is a really good model and bulit proof.

This is a really good forum, the guys are knowledgable and very helpful, you will need to get used to our UK sense of humour, which can be an acquired taste, but all humour is meant in good spirits and we do have a good old laugh.

Don't be a stranger, any questions you have just ask away, someone will have the answer.

Oh one last point, yiur English is better than mine, the guys are always taking the p!ss out if me but hay. Also in their sense of humour they nick named me CILLA..... Still don't understand why, but hay.
