Ey Up
Eric Bloodaxe in Bingley West Yorks dropping in to say Ey Up.
In a nutshell i've been riding on the road for 36 years man and boy. Ive owned over forty bikes, off-road, on-road, superbikes to classic bikes, 70's sports mopeds and track bikes. Basically if its got two wheels and an engine bolted somewhere in between them i'm interested.
My favourite all time bike has been my 1996 Fireblade which i've had for the last ten years but ive always hankered after an R1. Soooo i went out and bought a 1999 R1 and i'm impressed with its build quality, power, poise and stability. I love it ! ..Ill never get rid of my 'Blade but i now reckon ill never get rid of the R1 either.
Say ey up if live half way around the world and say ey up if you live near by and want to swing by for a cuppa or join me for a track day.
Cheers

"Ey up" Eric and welcome to the asylum. I've had a few 'ondas, including a couple of 'blades myself (first bike was a '97 model), after that a couple of Blackbirds and assorted other stuff, and I sold my last 'blade (2001 929) in October which was a shame as I really quite liked that one. Despite all that, they still let me hang around on here... Enjoy the forum. And don't expect any thread to stay on topic for more than 3 or 4 posts.Eric Bloodaxe wrote:Eric Bloodaxe in Bingley West Yorks dropping in to say Ey Up.

I'm a step ahead of you jompy[emoji13] but tbh the exchange rate is a lot worse than it used to be! I'm hoping that changes, but the greeks are looking to torpedo it further so I might have to go looking in Germany or Belgium instead.jompy wrote:Ey up me duck !

Re: Ey Up
Well let's see what's happening in April, though he rather un-sportingly said he wasn't up for a mugging, and I'd feel at least a tiny bit bad about trying it for what on the face of it is a fair asking price.
See what I mean Eric?

Ey up Eric and welcome to the mad house mate, our side of the Pennines did win the war of the roses
40 bikes is a heck of a lot of bikes, so I'm sure, with your experiance you will be able to contribute to the forum and tell us all where we are going wrong, though must admit it's taken you a while to see the light and get an R1
Must admit had a few Hondas myself, really good bikes but I do prefer the Yamaha's. Always wanted a blade but never actually owned one, tiden my mates though and it was a beautiful bike.
Anyway, hope you have a thick skin as you will need one on here, especially being from the wrong side of the Pennines
. The banter is playful , guys as honest as the day is long and we have loads of very knowledgable members on here, I guess you included .... So welcome to the mad house, oh and give as good as yiu get

Re: Ey Up
Hi Eric, great name is Eric, I might use that one later when I'm bored with Pete or/and Daphne.
Enjoy, and if you wear ladies underwear I suggest you keep it to yourself, as it doesn't seem to be a popular pastime on this particular forum, but if you join me on the Harley forum however.....
