Hi folks
my name is rob, I have just purchased my 1st r1
its a 2010 big bang
in lovely condition and has been very well looked after.
This is my first 1000cc bike and I am quite excited about getting on her
I have been riding bout 7 years (ink still wet on my license)
My 1st big bike was a honda vfr400 then a 53 reg zx6r which has been a good bike.
I got the bug after my to mates let me loose on theres a 14 reg r1 and a 56 reg one.
as soon as I got off them I had the bug
so went out brought one. Thank you for accepting me into your yam world

Re: newbie
Welcome to the forum Rob and to the world of R1's, you really won't look back. The bangers or sausages as they are known on here have a beautiful soundtrack , if I've confused you, Big Bang = banger = sausage..... This sort of sums up our strange sense of humour..... Though we do have a good laugh.
This is a Great forum, the guys have a hell of a lot of knowledge about bikes, Yamaha's and riding, so any questions just ask.
Nice intro by the way. Any chance of a pic of your bike and previous bikes, we love pics on here. To post them just host in photobucket and copy the IMG link into your post
Anyway welcome to the mad house and join in with the banter, oh and above all, enjoy your new toy
