R1 5jj cuts out when I throatal it

Hi I'm new to this don't no where to start . I have a Yamaha r1 5jj 2000 model what I'm having problems with . First I put a new clutch with silver plates oil and new cable . Run really nice just had problems getting in to neutral .week later I read up about check the oil level drained a little out then started it up left it running went to go up the road and it cut out . Put it in neutral it started right up again tried pulling away it cut out again . Played about with it couldn't find the problem. Now it idles but when I Thoatle it the bike cuts out . I have pulled the plugs out cleaned them checked everything. Think it ain't getting engouh petrol when I Thoatle it . My petrol pump just ticks once sound like it don't prim . Can someone please help me I'm missing the weather thanks

Not got time to do a proper welcome but I had misfire on my 4xv also my 04 ktm lc4 would run fine then cut out after a few miles ,the ktm would start up but as soon as you went to pull off it would keep cutting out , turned out the ht lead ends where the plug caps screw onto the ht lead had corrosion and the wires inside had snapped , cut 10mm off the leads and screw the caps in again also check & regrease the main wiring loom white 20 pin connector behind the left hand fairing pannel as this can cause a lot of problems too if it's not been looked after , also the sump bolt shouldn't ever be tightened to 42nm as stated in the hayenes & service manual as this will end up cracking your sump , with a new crush washer you should need no more that 25nm maybe less

Those 5jj's are a lovely bike , they share a lot of parts with the 4xv like frame, wheels & engines are similar , things that are different are ECU , bodywork i.e. tank , fairing , seat unit & headlight also the radiator & wiring looms are different .
Check the main 20pin white plug on the wiring loom that sits behind the left hand fairing to make sure its in good order & been greased as these can cause problems , the HT leads can break up when old where the plug cap screws on & cause misfire all you need to do is cut 5-10 mm off the end & screw the cap back on , also DON'T tighten the sump bolt up to 42nm its a lot less more like 15-20nm .
get the service manuals and parts micro fiches for both the 4xv & 5jj downloaded , use the online PDF link & down load the parts manuals from there .
