Hi everyone,
I have just bought a 5pw track bike which I am very pleased with.
It has a bit of a dragging clutch but I will sort that out over the winter.
I plan to take the performance of the bike as far as I can go whilst retaining the stock engine internals.
It seems reading on these forums that you can extract quite a few ponys out the engine with some relatively straightforward mods.
I have also plan to build a datalogging system and eventually have a try to build a traction control system using an arduino processing unit.
Should be fun, I will keep you informed!

Re: hi all 5pw track bike
Hi sorry for the slow response. I will get some pics up tonight, its mainly going to be of a bike in bits but its still interesting (to me)
I have managed to bag a Maxton GP10 shock which was actually for a 2007 R1, but I have made it fit quite easily.
I am going to bite the bullet and get the forks sent off to Maxton for a full upgrade.
I am not the fastest rider in the world but I have ridden a bike with a full maxton setup before and it was incredibly confidence inspiring.
Should be more than enough bike for my requirements.

Bud if it's in bits you'd best start a thread in the projects section too
We love a good project

Will do.
I will set it up tonight when I get in from work.
I need to relocate my regulator so that will be the first section of the project!
