water temp read out on clocks 99 r1

hi everyone ,hope someone has an answer for me . i have 99 r1 and have problem with water temp readout on clocks just reads low but no numbers for temp when warm . i have fitted new sender and put new earth . i have seen the temp in numbers flicker on for a few seconds once and that was it . any idea's ?

Sounds like a break in a wire

Or the infamous white connector in the LH fairing.

I was thinking about that too but had a brain fart last night & thought nahh that joins the loom further down :doh: it still has to go to the bleedin clocks ! I amaze myself at my stupidity some times
