Another Newbie...

Post by Sugar_Puff »

Hi All I'm Dan Im from woking in surrey, and ive just brought my first yamaha.... R1 4XV it's a big step up coming from a ZX6r G2 and a ZX7r P2

so i brought my tidy 4xv last sunday and i'm over the moon with it the previous owner owned this for 10.5 year's and loved it religiously i swear i saw tears in his eye's when i drove off in the van with my new beast strapped down in the back, she's been sat in Dry storage since 2008 has been started on and off thats as far as it goes, but i got there and it started first time on the button and run and idle's so quietly and smmoth. all it needed for its mot was a rear tyre which i got from work...
the little list of mod's it already has...:
Solid floating front brake disc's
DynaMag PFM light weight wheels
dynoJet Bigger jet's)
Custom Paint Job
after market end can
Gay tiny pathetic number plate
RaceTech Fork Internals
tinted double bubble.

bit's yet to fit...
New bar end's (one was missing)
new flush fit front indicators - (they were odd)
and R&G Heated frip's for when i use it for work.....

Comment's Welcome.
Pic's to follow if i can figure out how to do it....

Welcome mate. Thats a great looking bike.

This is a great example to show my mate about legal sized number plates wrecking the rear of bikes. He see's absaloute no point in them but I can't stand a huge yellow box destroying the looks.

Not 100% sure on the paint job i did ask incase its been down the road etc but the previous owner before this guy had it painted so i dont no the full reason but i'm the 3rd owner and the last owner who i brought it from has owned it just over 10 years and he never had any trouble's....
