Re: Greetings
Welcome to the forum Robert, if you want to find out anything about R1's you have come to the right place, the guys on here are very knowledgable and are more than happy to help new members with any questions they ask, so ask away, someone will have the answer.
Oh and yes we do have a strange sense of humour in here, good humoured p!ss taking and a good old laugh, so join in the banter.
Oh and ignore petepassion obviously he is in Daphnie mode today and it's her time of the month
So welcome and ask away any questions
Stephen

Re: Greetings
Thanks for the welcome
yes it is my mates R1 we're tinkering with and no he's not shy, just that information gathering is my first port of call... I'm sure he'll turn up at some point
And what better issue to start with than a generic LED indicator conversion now hyperflashing. The funny bit is that the hazards work fine... Does the R1 have separate relays and where's the best place to buy R1 parts online??

Re: Greetings
I currently ride a red 2015 Z1000SX with integrated panniers and bi-xenon HID upgrade including demon and angel eyes. The mrs has just bought a Z800 Sugomi. Previously we've had a couple of Fireblades, 3 VFR's and I am sorry to say that I haven't had the pleasure of a Yamaha as yet, but have been tempted in the pastjompy wrote:Welcome in bud

Welcome in mate
My old man has a z1000sx it's a nice big arm chair of a thing. Proper wheelie tool when it's geared right.
I wouldn't like it landing on my toes though, it weighs the same as Norway

Steve R1 hits the nail on the head... bikes are bikes, they are all fun to ride and I love tinkering with them... even if its an R1
Mods: Too early maybe??
Re: Greetings
Hi mate, welcome in, as moose said you need a replacement indicator relay which is suited for LED's. The relay itself is located behind the front screen, which you need to remove, it's next to the headlight relay.robenson wrote:Hi,

Believe you can buy these on eBay for around £15 mark.
Buy a work shop manual on a disc for a £5 at the same time, will save you lot of hassle and Unknown questions
