Hi, MNR R1 powered Kitcar - help needed also :)

Post by whitti_uk »

Hey guys,

Hope you are all well! I am not quite on 2 wheels yet, but the urge to get bike license and myself on an R6 is creeping up, particularly if unable to keep my 4 wheel toys with first baby on way.

I look forward to getting slowly involved with this forum, having come from being a moderator and regional organiser for the MLR (Evo owner club). Be good to learn more about the bike engine and get alittle more hands on with jobs.

Whilst I am on, I am desperate for a 2008 R1 clutch cover to get my car on the road, after clutch failed on rollers whilst mapping. Does anyone know which section I need to post on to ask for this cover?

Thanks
Lee :D

Welcome to the forum Lee and as disco said post up some pictures we love pics on here and they don't have to be just of two wheeled machinery, Kyle has a thing about vans and some of us love our cars as much as our bikes, well almost.

There is a hell of a lot if knowledge on here regarding bike engines so any questions just ask, we have a great sense of humour and a good old laugh. Out admin team do a fantastic job, indeed they are the same as the rest of us members, joining in and having a laugh and they let the forum police itself which actually makes this one fantastic place to talk about all sorts of things including bikes.

We have some great characters on here, who you will get to know if you stick around, people help one and other and will go that extra mile to help someone out, indeed, last month one guy travelled seven hundred miles to pick up a bike for a member who was working abroad, he even paid for it ahead of being reimbursed himself....... That's the kind of people we have on here..... That's what we all love about this place.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing some pics of your car, if you go down the R6 route, you won't be disappinted .

So welcome

Stephen

Oh and good luck with finding the clutch cover :D
