Personally bearing in mind I've only ever had carbs but I'd go for a remap

Cmon guys, what's the difference between a straight remap and a powercommander and remap? I could send off my ecu and have it remapped, the cheapest option or get a of fitted do a Dyno run and remap, which is expensive. Help appreciated.
My new can should arrive today, seems I've caught some weird form of obsession with "improving" my bike. Very odd. Here's the before pic and I'll add after pics when I've fitted the two brothers m2 cans.

remap can refer to a fuel remap or ecu remap including many other parameters such as throttle bodies, fuel cut off on decel, ignition timing, Quick shifter activation, AIS disable and so on.

Personally, if you can find a dyno shop nearby that can remap through the ecu, this will be best, as they can custom fuel map and also modify the other parameters to improve the engine characteristics.
If not, Mike on here(velox racing) can flash the ecu by post and then have the fuelling custom mapped at a dyno shop.
Or even just a custom fuel map with a power commander fitted will be an improvement.
As Sam says, depends how much you want to spend.

Power commander is a box that alters the fueling by over riding the ecu
RE map is changing the parameters set in the ecu including the emissions setting , flyby wire and other stuff including the fueling

Thanks Both - much clearer. Sounds like the dyno run and full remap is the best option - not cheap at 450 :(

Take your ECU off and send it to Mike (on here) he'll sort it. I had mine done, its a really quick turnaround and it absolutely transforms your 14b........

Hi Steve, They're in Warrington just of the bridge foot roundabout. Pretty slick set up, a little on the expensive side :(
I didn't realise road biking would be so costly, bike, bling, tuning, and now the wife misdoing her DA so theres another bike!

Thanks Bud, i am considering options - i really want a dyno tune so it makes sense to do both at the same time but, like most things funds permitting an =d I've jus shelled out for some new cans :D

Haha, great. Idea being I get more bike time and she spend more time with me, win win! And she's loving it too having never ridden a bike. She's a better rider haha.
Any ways, new cans are on but I need some carbon guards to finish off, oh it never ends ...
Sound is awesome, mush deeper than debaffled standard titaneum cans.
