Obligatory Newbie Post
Evening all,
I joined the forum in August last year when I bought my 60th anniversary R1 but life got in the way so I haven't used the forum or posted since, hence the late introduction.
This is the fourth bike of my riding history and f*ck me does it move! Virtually standard at the moment but that's going to change in the coming months.
Cheers all,
John.

Hi John, welcome to the forum. A great bunch of people here, hope you stay around.
Let's see some pics of the bike, standard or not, they're bloody lovely looking machines.
Pete.

Welcome in!
The speed block yellow version certainly lifts the bike.
What mods are you planning?

Re: Obligatory Newbie Post
Thanks for the welcomes.
Turns out I'm a bit of a biff and can't figure out how to attach photos of my bike into this reply! I've stuck some in my gallery though which you should be able to see if you're interested.
With the exception of a tail tidy, tank grips, some crash protection and an Akra decat pipe (to match the supplied Akra can), the bike is standard. I personally love the Akra setup, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I love the noise it makes along with the pops and bangs. But I can't get within 30 miles of a track and have to refit the cat and standard can which is a huge faff. So thanks to internet and forum research, I think a Spark decat pipe and exhaust is top of the list along with FlashTune. The last thing the bike needs is more power, certainly in my hands, but I'm so fed up of the jerky throttle I've decided I've got no choice.
After that I'm planning on swapping the front pads for something with more initial bite and over a few coming track days I want to try and dial in the suspension a little.

Welcome in John
Enjoy the forum and the Anny
Here's a how to on posting pics
"get yourself a free photobucket account & follow the idiots guide to posting pics from your pc
if you don't want to open a photobucket account then an alternative is go to
http://tinypic.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
1 - "choose file" and browse to the image you wish to upload from your PC
2 - In the "resize" drop down choose either 15" or 17" screen (15 is enough and fast too)
3 - Press "upload now" where it will ask you to type in a couple of words to confirm you are a human being and not an automated program.
4 - Once done copy the text from the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" field
5 - Then just paste it exactly as is in to your message.
or you can post direct from your not so smart phone using tapawank (tapatalk) it's great for posting pic's & notifications but wank for viewing the forum
