Hi folks my name is Al
Had a 4xv for 15 years , bought a zzr1400 12 years ago and so the r1 got passed on to the wife
Due to her having an op it has been stood for about 4 years
Decided to get it back on the road this year but unknown to me the fuel tap had leaked so the carbs were in a bit of a mess so on the lookout for replacements
Is there a magnet in the sky because my front wheel seems very attracted to it

Nice looking bike. Need to get those carbs ultrasonically cleaned Al . Welcome to the best forum , great bunch for knowledge & banter without going over the top .
Unfortunately I need to replace no3 carb as one of the float bowl screws was seized and I managed to break the corner off using an impact driver ( schoolboy error I know!!)
Once that is sorted then yes it's an ultrasonic bath for them

Cheers for the advice gents
Newish Where are you based and what sort of price , I have seen some on eBay for £275 and £399 and I've also seen some carb bodies for £30 each but there all no2 carb and typical I need no3
Cheers Al

If it's a clean break it might be repairable with the right adhesive. It doesn't take any load, just holds a screw in place, and the remaining 3 screws would probably hold the float bowl anyway.
Not sure what would be best but others here might know.

I don’t know
Let me have a root around in the man cave, see what I’ve got and I’ll get back to you.
Well the old girl runs once again
A replacement set of carbs and a ht lead trim and it now runs a treat
Many thanks for the advice and huge thanks to newsh for the carbs

It’s a pleasure mate, glad she’s running well.
Those carbs have been on the shelf in the man cave for at least 15 years so in 4XV terms they’re hardly used!
