Hello 2007 R1
Hi, I have a 2007 R1 and recently put all the original fairings back on, ive not had lights on it for 15 years, just added some new rear LED indicators to go with the front LED indicators that I added in to the main headlight cluster 15 years or so ago, just connected them all up and now the resistor thats looped in to the front indicators shown in picture gets so hot it melts, any ideas?

You got what they call an electrical issue
.
Are you saying you put a resistor in the circuit for the front indicators ?. Have you not done the same for the rear set you now have ?.
If it's getting hot it's obviously seeing too much current. If you disconnect the rears from the bike does the problem go away.

Have you got resistors on the rear indicators as well? Check the wiring, it sounds like something isn't right with the circuit for the resistor to see that much current.
