Hi y'all, I've owned my R1 from new just can't find anything better
. therefore thirteen years of experience of fast riding and some learning opportunities, only now need y'er help.
My wee bike has developed a habit of sucking oil from the gearbox though the breather pipe
. Therefore looking for help if its out there. I'm open to all good cheep suggestions on the cure?

Is it a lot off oil? or not a lot? im assuming you have checked the oil aint over filled, whats the mileage on the bike?

why im asking the mileage is that, worn rings can let gasses by and over pressurise the crankcases thus blowing oil out the breather , I had this on a yzf450, it was a race bike though and well thrashed, replacing the rings on a R1 aint too difficult though for a compotent mechanic

Hi guys thanks for the welcome and even the conformation of my worst fears. roll on the winter months I've got a project to be busy with. The oil usage is just about manageable for the rest of the summer as its only the high reving sprints that show extra oil from the air box drain
. Oh god riding slow on an R1 aaaaaarrg. Hey be positive I'll be riding legal more!!!!!!
