Helloo all :)

I will be collecting my first ever r1 tomorrow, im getting a 2008 model 4c8. Has anybody got any advice for anything to look out for on these, any common faults i need to be aware of at all??
Feel like a kid on christmas eve waiting for santa lol :P :dance:

Check the swing arm for abrasions as this would point at a crasher.
Other than the normal bike checks I don't know of any real issues.
Anyone owned longer than me who cares to comment ?

Check the exup cables, they are prone to fray and or snap. Discs is ridden hard warp or cause a shimmy for a brief period due to overheating on the semi floating buttons. Damage to rad by stones.

What spec is she.

Enjoy, once fettled they are a great bike.

The only thing to really worry about on a 4C8 is a short fat balding bloke from darn sarf,got a right fucking attitude that geezer has :lol: :lol:

Good choice of R1 best thing to do is get in touch with R1 Mike on here & get it flashed,oh and a de-cat pipe if it dont have one already to sort out the horrendous heat build up and stop it cooking ya gentlemans area :shock:
