4xv's are very well mannered until you hit 8000rpm then they get a tad wild , you'll love the bike it's a lot of bang ( and handling ) for your buck

I think the consensus is firstly to go with what grade its been running with ......... I use motul 300v

I have no idea on what its been running on, I've just flushed the coolant so the oil is next and then to adjust the forks as a good friend on mine tells me that winding then down improves the handling

Before you change anything on the fork settings read up on what does what and learn a bit about it for yourself. There's a wealth of information on here about suspension and I think you be a wise bloke to use it before taking anybody's advice for gospel before you fully understand it for yourself.

Even if your mate is some suspension guru.
Just my thought's......
