Re: Where ya from?
Hi All
New to the whole scene although am an avid MTB'er and have ridden through towns and cities commuting all my life. Wife bought me a CBT training course for my mid-life crisis and it was all over. Even on the sorry 125 up a 10 degree hill in wind on a 60 road I managed to crank it to about 48 and was smitten. Now training (passed mod1) on an ER6 and really felt what it was all about at around 5k RPM's...
I'm based in Ewloe and would say I'm aspiring to be a mature, sensible hopefully/almost speed limit abiding biker... now here comes the bit where you blast me
I'm considering an R1 as my first bike (ducks)
Ok reasons are: I'm 6 foot 2 14 stone and look a bit of a div on my 1st choice XJ6. Reason I didnt think about an R6 is the weight in the corners is swaying me to the R1. Yeh - I know a lot of people say don't do it RIP etc but if I plan to keep it under 4k revs till I've done a few track outings and advanced courses I'm thinking I may survive it...
I'm looking at about 2 grands worth of pre-binned R1 (as I'm sure I'll end up binning it at some point)....
so... hi to all you guys and feel free to give me down the banks etc.
