Welcome in!
Think you just missed a cheapish pair of Akras on Ebay, but there are other makes out there - which are every bit as good as Akras, without the high prices for being "vogue".

Re: Hi all
Hello everyone thanks for the welcome, well pleased with the new bike went for my first ride on it last night a quick spin up to boxhill. Sad to sell the 5pw as was a lovely bike but the anniversary model has been on my mind for ages so pleased to finally get one. Got the recall letter with the bike regarding the head lights, does any one know if it's possible to get the wiring replacement as I have heard nothing but horror stories about local yamaha dealers work. I am a car mechanic by trade so quite confident about doing it myself.

Re: Hi all
There was a thread about the recall & a couple of guys had the wiring posted to them as they lived too far away & I'm sure one had hid's fitted but still wanted the wiring .
Someone will confirm this

Re: Hi all
Here you go Mark , it's from another thread , recall on a 14b with hid's .
Steve R1 wrote:I got home to three recall letters today, the 2009 bike, 2011 bike and the current 2012 one. The 09 bike was sold on 2011 and the 2011 bike was sold in 2012..... Mr Yamaha not very good at keeping paperwork up to date. I thought they would have got the addresses from the DVLA and written to the last registered keeper.
Told my dealer that I have fitted hid lights they said they will give me the parts fir me to fit if I ever remove the lights. They also said they would not fail an mot.
Re: Hi all
Hello again everyone, just back from first proper ride on it up to boxhill & then on to newlands corner. Bike is brilliant very different to the 5pw, feels very sure footed through the twisty stuff can really push on
. Will get on to my local dealer 'West London Yamaha' about getting wiring harness but really don't want to leave bike with them as I haven't heard many good things , any one else dealt with them? My bike is number1237 will post up some pics of it and the old one when my missus has a min as I'm not to good with computer type stuff
Thanks for the welcome . Mark
