Did some great roads over the weekend
Saturday........Forth Rail Brig, Pebbles, Selkirk, St. Mary's Loch, Grey Mares Tail (road fixed now), Devils Beeftub, Awpr road - fekin mega fast and very quiet (nice straights & long sweeping bends - Abington to Beatock, follows motorway but way better). Had a night in Dumfries.
Sunday..........Dalveen Pass, Awpr road (Abington to Rigside), Carstairs (no they didn't keep me!) then up to Edinburger, Forth Rail Brig then home.
Really decent couple of days
Looking forward to more........

Had a good run today with the weather being great.
Left home went past Loch Lomond, Faslane, Arrochar, Inveraray, turned at Lochgilphead and came back through Arrochar and Tarbet just missing 2 bike cops setting up with their gun, bikes hidden in a driveway.
Best part of 200 miles and no weekend traffic.

We need to do something, a few years ago there was a run every other week.
Just with our poxy weather its difficult to arrange anything more than a few hours in advance unless you dont mind getting caught in the rain.

Need to comit, plan for rain and anything else is a bonus. U & Nik could alway come across here the night before and we leave together on the Saturday. Nice new place by the sea with ample roomin garage for your bikes
Date is just a tester? Donny has text to say he would come across to Skye to meet us for a beer

Bugger!!!!!
I'm back home then and would have tagged along but I'm doing a charity walk along the length of Hadrian's wall that weekend.
I see from one of your other posts you have been along the Dalveen Pass which is a great piece of road esp when going from Dumfries it just seems to open out a bit more and suck you in.
If you come out the back of Moffat and turn left at the old Black & Yellow AA box follow the road it's not fast by any stretch of the imagination it's single track with sheep all over but the view as you come over the top. apologies for my car spoiling the view.

I could be up for a mid weeker but I'm struggling for time.
I get home on the 15th June, going to see Springsteen @ Hampden on the 18th then start the walk on the 21st for what we expect to last 4 days. SWMBO has booked the week off from the 1st July and wants to go away somewhere.
So the only time I have free is few days from about the 26th to the 30th June.
As I expect to be away with work again wk commencing 8th July until some time in September.
So if it fits with people fine but don't go changing any plans on my account.

I come off shift on the 26th and back on the 30th. Friday the 28th would be cool with a return home on the 29th.
