Re: Forum slow???
Hosting company says we can move over to a new virtual private server, rather than the shared one we are on currently, it will be a few more pennies each month but will be worth it I am told. I have a few bits to do with other sites which is taking priority but I hope to try and get it done this week before I go to le Mans next week.

Nice one mike , i know this must be a real pain in the arse for you & i hope i haven't come across as a petulant spoilt child . . . . . . . . . . too much !r1Mike wrote:Hosting company says we can move over to a new virtual private server, rather than the shared one we are on currently, it will be a few more pennies each month but will be worth it I am told. i've been finding it so frustrating for a number of months now , i've been thinking for a while now about making a monthly donation and finally got my act together this weekend , it's only a small donation each month but i hope it will help as i know funds have been getting low .
again thank you

I appreciate how we're not asked for money to keep the forum going but can I encourage everyone who is regular here to donate. Including me!

You can do if you like DuncanMoise wrote:I appreciate how we're not asked for money to keep the forum going but can I encourage everyone who is regular here to donate. Including me!
Mike , Bubs & Ginga believe that people should not feel that they have to pay towards the up keep of the forum & i agree !
it's only this year that i've felt comfortable enough with money to be able to pay monthly towards the forum & it is only a small amount , before i've just chucked Ginga some money a couple of times to go towards the forum .

I think the pair of you are right, I just do an annual donation but could easily convert that to monthly
Would what Jompy and Duncan are proposing help Mike?
I realise not everyone is in the same position and I'm sure people give what they can afford when they can, and another thing I like about this forum whether you donate, irrespective of how much, or don't donate, we are all equal....... And that makes Yamahar special......... Perhaps the Eurozone could take a leaf out of our book and help Greece a bit more

How did you set up a monthly donation? Is that something you can do from PayPal?
