Carb help required

HI guys and girls,

sorry i don't have an R1 (Yet) but i do have a set of R1 carbs feeding my 2.0 zetec powered 1965 Ford Anglia.

i need someone to identify the air correction jet for me?
under the main carb stack there is three holes/jets

-Left looks like a brass jet with screwdriver slot to remove it?
-upper is very small and appears (deep down) to be plugged with a ball maybe?
-right - has a brass insert with a fine hole at the end.

also where are replacement needles available in the UK couple of mine are blunt

thanks in advance

Martin :D

Welcome in Martin
Any chance you could post some pictures up as i think that 65 anglia could be reather interesting .
never had to replace needles but have been told this place is good
http://www.allensperformance.co.uk/contact.html
i think the workshop manual links should still work in the 4xv & 5jj sections of the forum , you may have to view online in PDF & then download from there .
4xv 1998-1999 & 5jj 2000-2001 were carb'd then in 2002 they went to injection

Yes samr1 it's in the same period colours as mk1 lotus cortina.
Unfortunately not running the lotus twin can but the money they fetch theses days I could buy another car :-)

The mk1 lotus cortina was the Audi RX8 of its day

Hope it wasn't the 1256cc I think they were , if I remember correctly they did an 1800 & 2300cc I always wanted the 2.3 it was the 2 door sporty fastback version of the viva , I always thought it was drooping snoop but then Jens always laughing at me for pronouncing things wrong
